Letter, 1837 July 10.

A letter to "Dolley" Madison regarding a bequest of the late James Madison to the University of Virginia. Davis states that the board of the University did not act on the bequest and it's most recent meeting, but will at it's next meeting. Davis thanks Mrs. Madison for the gift and assures her that the delay is not caused by ingratitude.
